Eleven-year-old Perry Cook lives with his mother in the Blue River Co-Ed Correctional Facility due to the kindness of the warden. When a new district attorney finds out, Perry is forcibly placed in a foster home. Desperate to reunite with his mother, Perry tries to find out exactly why his mom was jailed in the first place, and in the process he learns what it means to truly be home.
