Michael and his friends, Sarah and Bryson, are still being chased by the cyber-terrorist Kaine, who is a Tangent--a computer program that has become sentient. Kaine is trying to populate the Earth with human bodies that have Tangent minds. Since the government wants to pretend the world is safe, it's up to Michael and his friends to stop Kaine before artificial intelligence takes over the world.
