In 1915, the Mexican Revolution is erupting across the boarder of Texas where eighteen-year-old Joaquin del Toro prepares to inherit his family's ranch. He and Dulcena are deeply in love and look forward to a future together, but a wedge is driven between them in light of Dulcena's father's criticism of the Texas Rangers in a local paper. And when Joaquin's family's ranch is at stake, he faces difficult decisions about love, life, and doing what's right.
