Scarlett Dragna finds her dream has come true--an invitation to see Caraval, a once-a-year performance where the audience are participants. When she and her sister, Tella, arrive, however, Tella is kidnapped by Legend himself, Caraval's mastermind, and Scarlett learns that this year's performance revolves around finding Tella. Whoever does wins the prize of one wish granted. However, things quickly turn out to be more than just a game, and a dangerous domino effect of consequences will be set off.
