In small town Otters Holt, Billie McCaffrey and her group of best friends, whom she calls the Hexagon, start things and scheme together, just because they like it. However, when Billie starts scheming about love, and she discovers her ideas about love and sexuality are different from the prevailing ones in her small town, she will have to find the strength to face the scorn of her parents, her town, and possibly even the Hexagon.
