A boy who lives by the sea likes to bring his questions to the great body of water and listen for its answers. He grows from a child to a teen and hears the sea tell him to dream and to love. When he becomes a parent, he takes his own children to the sea where they sit and listen. Finally, as an old man, he accompanies his grandchildren to the sea and together they listen for the sea's answers to their questions.
