After a dog named Jet is adopted by a family, they neglect and abandon him, leaving him on leash in the backyard. When he's rescued by a home inspector, he's given to the Sterling Center, which trains rescue dogs. Jet has the skills to become a great canine hero, but his fear of leashes holds him back. On his first rescue mission, he must overcome that fear to help save the victims of a plane crash.
