Valkyrie works to stop the prophesy that says she will become the Death Bringer who tears down the barrier between life and death, killing three billion people as a result. Meanwhile, Skullduggery and Valkyrie protect a killer from an unstoppable assassin, and a plague of body-snatchers called Remnants are released into the world searching for a being powerful enough to lead them.
