Mia Tang is excited for her family's vacation to China, and she can't wait to see all her cousins and grandparents again. But right before the trip, she's having trouble connecting with Lupe and Jason reveals that he has a crush on her. When they arrive in China, she and her family are surprised at how much China has changed in the years they've been gone, and Mia realizes she isn't as comfortable with the Chinese culture as she once was. But upon arriving back home in California, Mia and her family face even more challenges when they learn two local motels have combined, and the Calivista faces tough competition that threatens to put them out of business.
