When a young girl learns the star she sees in the sky is dying, she promises to keep it company until the end. Night after night she speaks to the star, reassuring it that she is still there. She learns all she can about stars, planets, and space and grows up to be an astronaut, fulfilling her dream to travel to the star one day. And when she finally does, her beloved star responds in an unexpected way.
