Patricia thought that nobody would ever be like her beloved grandmother, her babushka who recently passed away, but when she moves to California in the middle of a drought, she makes friends with Stewart and his grandmother, the seeming invincible Miss Eula. Miss Eula organizes her neighborhood, including Trisha and Stewart, to help a hurting neighbor and save dying gardens in the drought.
