A book-loving young woman dies and is brought back to life in an alternate world where there are no such thing as books. However, in this world she is Myne, a sickly little child in a poor family, which makes writing books very difficult. What's worse, winters are going to be even tougher, but with her friend Lutz and her new family with her, Myne knows she can achieve her dreams.
