Hoodie Rosen's pleasant life of baseball, kosher snacks, and his Orthodox Jewish family gets complicated when his entire Orthodox community ups and moves to the mostly non-Jewish town of Tregaron. At first, Hoodie ignored Tregaron's antisemitism, but when he meets and falls in love with Anna-Marie Diaz-O'Leary--the first real crush of his life--who just happens to be the daughter of Tregaron's mayor who is currently trying to get the Orthodox community to leave. Now Hoodie is caught between his community and his first love.
