When Bình gets into a fight with a bully that nearly gets him suspended from school, Binh's family decides to take him on a retreat weekend at Three Jewels Mountain where they hope to help him learn to control his emotions through practice of silent meditation. Binh is dreading the event, where he won't have access to his favorite video games. At the retreat, Binh's distractions lead to learning tales of Buddha's past lives that he relates to. During his meditation sessions he has visions of video-game-like scenarios in which he uses new ways to confront some of the same problems that Buddha faced.
