Maisie can't wait to attend her first fancon and hopefully meet her idol, Kara Bufano, the action hero from her favorite TV show, who has a lower-leg amputation, just like her. She soon meets Ollie, a cute volunteer working the con who is just as nerdy as she is, and the two embark on a whirlwind one-day romance.
