British agent Ted Mundy and German counterpart Sasha are friends and spies on opposite sides of the Iron Curtain. With the fall of communism, the two are pensioned off and forgotten. In 2003, Mundy is working as a tour guide in Germany when Sasha contacts him with an offer to work together to develop an information network in an effort to counter the propaganda campaign to support the war in Iraq.
